I have always loved making. As soon as I was old enough to hold a needle and thread I made clothes for my toys; and then for myself in my teenage and later years.
After a degree in Human Science I did a Masters in Human Biology. After this followed by work in management consultancy and then marketing and 20 years working as a traditionally trained acupuncturist. Latterly I am also a certified Pilates instructor with APPI (the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute). I am also the mother of three sons.
I returned to my love of making and completed an HND in Craft Design at Coleg Menai in Bangor, 2002-2005. This gave me the space to broaden my creative interests and develop skills in metalwork and mixed media. In my final year I settled upon resin & silver as my chosen media, and from there I have developed and refined my own style, which continues to evolve.
I enjoy the contrast between large pieces such as my pebble chokers or big link necklaces and the smaller delicate resin encased silver earrings, cufflinks and pendants.
